Why run the TSC London Marathon for Camvet?
Every year charities buy places in the TCS London Marathon, then give them to runners who agree to raise a minimum amount of money. They can be a great way to make a difference and get a place in the Marathon if you missed out in the ballot. Each year Camvet purchases a Gold Bond for the London Marathon, guaranteeing that we have FIVE charity places for each race.
Each individual Marathon place costs us nearly £500 so we ask that you raise a minimum of £1,000, though many of our runners raise way in excess of this amount! The thought of raising sponsorship can be daunting, but we are happy to discuss ways you can boost your fundraising, and support you in any way that we can.
On the other hand, if you do have a ballot place and want to use that to run for Camvet, we receive all the money you raise and won’t have to spend anything on your place. So whichever way you end up running for a good cause, you’re helping yourself and you’re helping us!

The TSC London Marathon is not the only running event to be held during the year. Although Camvet does not currently have guaranteed places in other events if you have your own place in a marathon, half-marathon, park run or even your own personal challenge, such as a "Couch to 5k", why not use this as an opportunity to raise funds for Camvet? We can advise you on setting up a JustGiving page and publicising your challenge.
