Camvet

University of Cambridge Veterinary School Trust

Cambridge Veterinary School was founded in 1949 with eight undergraduate students, but its origins go back to 1909 when the University Department of Pathology set up an outstation to study diseases of large animals.

Over the decades student numbers have increased to around 60 to 70 graduates in each year.

We have worked alongside the clinical and teaching teams to provide a bespoke Clinical Skills Centre for our current students.  If you are now in practice and are thinking about replacing a piece of equipment, perhaps it could be of use to our current students in the Clinical Skills Centre?  Do get in touch!

Our Latest News

We wanted to pass on our thanks for all your wonderful continued support despite the many challenges this year has brought. We have been able to fund several pieces of equipment for our farm, surgery, equine, small animal and imaging teams - all of which will benefit the hospital's patients and our students. Our plans to partner the University of Cambridge and the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital to jointly fund a £1.6m project to provide a new multi-species MRI machine are still going ahead - they are just a bit behind schedule! If you would like to make a donation towards Camvet's fundraising pledge of £300,000 please visit our Justgiving page - thank you.
