University of Cambridge Veterinary School Trust

Studying at Cambridge

Cambridge Veterinary School was founded in 1949 with eight undergraduate students, but its origins go back to 1909 when the University Department of Pathology set up an outstation to study diseases of large animals.

Over the decades student numbers have increased to around 60 to 70 graduates in each year.

Our current students and alumni have contributed to various fund raising projects including a recent drive to increase the number of text books in the Department's library - we were able to contribute over £3,000 thanks to several generous donations and student events.
